Vitcas® Heat Resistant Filler can be used for small cracks around the chimney breast or on the joints in cement boards or mineral fibre boards.

Ready-mixed air setting material. Sets faster when warm. Vitcas® Heat Resistant Filler can be sanded before painting. Its maximum service temperature is 1000 degrees celcius.

Description

This Heat Resistant Filler is a easy to apply filler! Specially designed for use with insulation boards, vermiculite boards, high temperature plasterboards and construction boards. 

Our Heat resistant filler is primarily utilised for filling in small cracks. Also used to joint in high temperature products such as in Vitcas High Temperature Plasterboard. The filler can be used to fix boards to brickwork, blockwork and small cracks. Really useful in If the gap is larger, we reccommend using the Vitcas HB60. This adhesive is tested to 750 degree C and is resistant to this temperature.

We recommend storing the Vitcas Filler in a cool dry place between 5  and 25 degrees. Please ensure that the lid is replaced properly after each use. Under these conditions the shelf life should be a minimum of 12 months.

Application

  • Make sure the area is clean and that all dirt, dust and grease is removed.
  • Cut off the top of the cartridge, screw on the nozzle and cut the nozzle to the required size.
  • Apply to the area to be filled using a cartridge gun. Smooth the surface with a clean scraper. The material will set faster when warm.
  • Vitcas® Heat Resistant Filler can be sanded before painting. Certain types of emulsion paint may require the use of a proprietary stabilising primer before application – check with the instructions on the paint.
