The Elastic Shock Cord has two, unfixed plastic coated metal hooks on either end.
At MCD Home and Garden, We stock a range of Tarpaulin Accessories. The Elastic Shock Cord are an easy to use fixing solution. The metal hook can be fixed to the tarpaulin through the eyelet. Then secured on to the object. The Shock Cords are also used regularly on luggage racks, to secure bike racks and on baggage. The Shock Cord is available in two sizes. They are 60 cm and 100 cm.
All of the Shock Cords are UV resistant. They will not scuff due to abrasion. Water will not affect the colour of the cord, perfect for outdoor use. The plastic coated metal hooks are not fixed in place. Meaning they can be fixed to ensure your tarp will stay in place. Shock cords can be purchased without metal hooks. They are available with plastic toggles for securing. Elasticated cord can be dangerous. Please see the safety note in the extra tab below.
